The pueblo-style family holiday timeshare apartment complex of La Orquidea stands on hills overlooking the Costa del Sol community of Calahonda. Walkers can see as far across the Mediterranean Sea as Gibraltar and Morocco's Atlas Mountains at this resort's convenient location, halfway between Fuengirola and Marbella.

Luxury tiles adorn both the floors and the private kitchens of all 35 family holiday timeshare apartments. The six one-bedroom apartments are ideal romantic retreats for couples on holiday, while the larger two-bedroom and penthouse timeshare units are more suitable for families. House-keeping services are available and each unit has a washing machine and cleaning equipment. Private balconies or terraces accompany all units.

Holidaymakers can help themselves to any of the books in the La Orquídea library, then read and relax by the timeshare property's three outdoor swimming pools. Some ground floor apartments contain direct entrances to the main pool's garden, while a small stream connects the main pool to a shallow children's paddling pool. A waterslide plunges swimmers into the deepest and the lowest of the three pools.

Although La Orquídea has its own small shop, reception staff will gladly arrange for excursions to the lively markets in Calahonda's surrounding Mijas Costa area.
