Holiday Club Puerto Calma is a comfortable and friendly resort in a perfect location and quieter part of Puerto Rico in the south of Gran Canaria, a principality of Spain yet in walking distance of the bustling, lively centre with its large variety of bars, restaurants, shops, pool, beach, and main harbour. All apartments here have sea-views, some overlooking the yacht marina and this apartment also overlooks the more local facilities including big Spar shop, a few nice bars and restaurants, and a green area of plants and palm trees.

This one bedroomed apartment is cool, clean, and modern with air-conditioning and large balcony furnished with table, chairs, loungers and clothes-airier. The bedroom is spacious with plenty of wardrobe space, lockable safe and patio doors onto the balcony, the fully tiled bathroom has a spacious shower and all facilities, the large kitchen/sitting room has a fully fitted kitchen at one end, patio doors onto the balcony at the other, a sofa bed as a double or two singles and the widescreen TV shows English programmes. There is a daily cleaning service with linen and towels changed regularly and pool towels can be obtained or changed at reception.

The hotel has a large outdoor pool with different seating areas and plenty of comfortable loungers. The covered pool bar serves food, soft and alcoholic drinks from 10-6pm and the resident animator provides all sorts of daily activities if desired. The hotel also has a licensed restaurant, gym, launderette, and hairdressers.

Only about 45 minutes from the Airport at Las Palmas, transfers can be arranged by the hotel at an extra cost, taxis or frequent bus services are also available quite cheaply. Taxis are plentiful in and around the resort at a small cost and car hire is inexpensive to explore this beautiful and interesting (non-active) volcanic island, with botanical gardens, camel park, Wild West Adventure, Angry Birds Theme Park, markets, mountains, and rustic villages with a warm welcome. Locally Puerto Rico harbour provides boat trips to neighbouring seaside towns, markets, dolphin watching trips and Pirate Ship party events.

We have 2 x high season summer weeks, equating to 52,500 points x 2 with affiliation to RCI per year to sell, which if used like currency can buy exchange weeks through RCI at other times or locations, so if the points value of that holiday is less it is possible to obtain more week's holiday from the annual allocated points.

With our points we have had fabulous holidays in Spain, Sardinia, Saint Maarten in the Caribbean, and Mexico as well as regular annual autumn holidays at Puerto Calma.

We are only selling to finance a move abroad inspired by our Holiday Club and RCI holidays, we will miss the Hotel Puerto Calma and all the friends we have made.
