We are selling a 3 bed, 2 bath Villa, sleeps 8, with private pool and large garden for Week 20 (mid May) at Heritage Resorts Marbesa Club near Marbella. The large living room opens out onto a covered patio with table and chairs and an outdoor BBQ, where we spend most of our time! The pool is a few steps across the grass and stairs lead up to a roof terrace which provides a secluded sun-bathing spot or for drinks at sunset, and has views of the sea across the neighbouring roofs and gardens. There is a private parking space outside the villa down a little lane, so it is quiet and secluded, set well back from the road. The villa, pool and grounds are all well maintained and the villa is being fully refurbished this summer I am told, so it should be lovely and fresh next year!

Marbesa Club members have full use of the Playa Real clubhouse down the road which features a bar, restaurant, heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and fitness centre. There is live evening entertainment every week. We went to a great Flamenco evening when we stayed a few years back.

Marbesa is at the heart of the Costa del Sol, close to Marbella, with numerous golf courses, plenty of good restaurants, bars and sandy beaches nearby making it a popular holiday destination for families and groups of friends. There are good local transport facilities and it is not essential to have a car. Beach restaurants and bars are in abundance. Malaga and the airport is about 30 minutes away.

If you do have a car there are plenty of places to go - Rhonda and the 'Pueblos Blancos', loads of beaches and resorts along the coast and Grenada, Cordoba, Seville and Gibraltar can all be reached on a (longish) day trip. There are also coach tours available from the resort, if you want to take it easy. If you are going to visit the Alhambra in Granada, you are best to book well in advance which you can do on-line - we hadn't and only just managed to get in quite late in the day at the end of our stay - but it was well worth it as the architecture and gardens are just magnificent!

According to their website Heritage also have their own exchange system for other Heritage resorts across the world but we haven't tried using this but it apparently has more than 25 high class holiday resorts across the world. Currently, we understand Heritage own three more resorts on the Costa del Sol in Southern Spain, a couple of hotel resorts in England and as well as resorts in Austria, India, Indonesia, Thailand, China and Hong Kong. There is a link on the Heritage website with more details. For a fee you could upgrade to a floating week with Heritage but we haven't bothered as May is a nice time of year, not too hot and before it gets really busy. Also we usually exchange with RCI so it saves us the hassle of remembering to book a week before banking it - and we know we will always get the May week to exchange and get 23 RCI points; we can get a good week for as little as 7 RCI points if we leave it late to book and save the remaining points for another week or 2.

We are selling because the new RCI exchange combination system means we now have too many timeshares and tend to use our USA inventory more to ski or holiday there.
