The charming city of Arguineguin is about 10 minutes away by a new freeway with several magnificent tunnels. I t has lovely restaurants, a wonderful market on Tuesdays and the best grocery shopping. Puerto Mogan is also just a short drive (or ferry trip) away as is Maspalomas with its high-end shops and promenade along the ocean.

The main city of Las Palmas with its nice markets and old town and numerous restaurants is only a 45 min. drive. Also, a trip to the mountains and the old volcano is very worthwhile. For those who like to hike, there are wonderful trails in the mountains and some beautiful cliff walks.
