Up for sale is our luxurious 3 bedroom 3 bath Gold Season timeshare apartment at Marriott's prestigious Marbella Beach Resort just a few miles east of Marbella. We also own a 2 bedroom unit and 1 bedroom unit in the same resort, and are only selling the 3 bedroom apartment because our children are now grown-up and have their own places to go to.....so the 3 bed unit is now too big for us. The Gold Season allows you to occupy the apartment for most of the year with the main exceptions being the school half term weeks, and most of July and August. The weather in April, May, June, September, October and even November can be wonderful in this part of Spain.

The apartment is particularly spacious being over 1200 square feet, with a large living and eating area plus a good sized balcony. The three double bedrooms all have their own en-suites and flat screen TV's, and are very well separated from one another. In addition there is a sofa-bed in the living area which means that officially this unit can sleep 8 people. There is good fast wi-fi throughout. The apartment has a full kitchen with all appliances and dishwasher, in addition there is a separate utility room with washing machine and dryer.

A benefit of this particular sale is that you can occupy the apartment for the last week of the UK Easter 2015 school holidays - we have booked the week from Friday 10th April till Friday 17th April. Most schools do not go back till the week starting Monday 20th April, so there will be no problem with taking the kids out of school.

This resort is perfect for both the older generation and the younger generation since there is so much space with swimming and other activities for all ages. We tend to spend our time in peace around the upper pools enjoying the lovely well-tended gardens, whilst families congregate around the huge lower pools and water slides which are directly adjacent to the sandy beach (accessed through a secure gate), beach bars and smart restaurant. In addition to the swimming, there are aerobics rooms, weights room, a computer room with printer, two on-site restaurants, and a groceries store which stocks fresh food and also has UK newspapers. There is also a good range of shops including a supermarket less than a mile away.

There are plenty of day-beds and loungers around the pools and Marriott have an excellent policy of not allowing you to leave your towel unattended on a lounger before 10.30am. There is plenty of car parking available and you will be allocated your own parking zone which means that you can almost always park near or underneath your own apartment with direct lift access to your front door.

This part of the coastline is totally unspoiled with no high rise developments on the beach. The beach is sandy and stretches for several miles in either direction with sand dunes behind, and with a good number of charming restaurants which serve excellent locally caught fish as well as Spanish specialities. Prices are quite low and two people can eat a good meal with wine for less than 50 euros.

Malaga airport is a very simple 35 to 40 minute drive to the East.

If you do not wish to occupy your apartment you can exchange it through Interval International for thousands of other resorts around the world. (We exchanged our 1 bedroom unit this year for a week at the luxury Radisson resort in Malta). Alternatively you can rent it out either through the Marriott rental program or do it directly yourself.
