restaurant where there are plentiful sunbeds and umbrellas provided on the raised sun terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.

The area is south and west facing giving easy access to beach and sunset views. The sandy beach offers good swimming, snorkelling and fishing opportunities. Within a short walk along the beach there is the pretty marina, beach and restaurants of Cabopino. The resorts attractive gardens house another swimming pool for adults only, tennis courts and a children's playground. There is a fully equipped leisure centre with a large heated indoor pool, sauna,Jacuzzi and excellent gym facilities.

As well as the poolside restaurant where you can buy snacks during the day and dinner at night, there is a lively bar which serves snacks and provides many social events, such as guided walks, Spanish lessons and wine tasting. Live entertainment is provided most evenings and incorporates themed dinners. Within walking distance on the beach from the resort there is the weekly market and town of La Cala and the sister resort of Leila Playa, which is well worth a visit. Outside of the resort there are many restaurants, a large supermarket and the bus stop with a regular service around the area.

There are numerous golf courses in the vicinity and week 40 incorporates the Fuengirola annual festival which is not to be missed. Well worth a visit are Marbella, Puerto Banus, Mijas and the shops of Fuengirola. There are various markets within easy reach and an aqua park. Further afield there are many areas to visit including Granada and Gibraltar. This resort offers everything you would need for a perfect holiday, we are very sorry to leave, but are planning to buy a retirement home within the area.
