We have been members of Diamond Resorts since 1999, when the organisation was known as G.V.C. Our initial purchase was 4000 points but following various takeovers and changes in ownership we gradually increased our participation to 50000 points. These changes have resulted in an expansion the number of the countries and resorts available to members.

Over the years we have taken many holidays both with our family and on our own, both in the U.K. and abroad. In the U.K. we have stayed in resorts in the West country, Lake District, Scotland, Norfolk, and Staffordshire and have also had a number of holidays on canal boats in various locations. Further afield we have visited France, Austria, Italy, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands and Portugal including the island of Madeira. There are also extensive opportunities to access numerous resorts in countries around the world through an exchange programme. Points can also be used in part for hotel stays, cruises and travel arrangements.

The accommodation at the resorts varies in size from one to three bedrooms and is of an extremely high standard, with the majority providing fully equipped kitchens for full self-catering arrangements. Facilities at resorts vary and can include full spa, swimming pool, sports facilities, children' playgrounds etc. There are on site cafes, bars, and restaurants at many locations.

We are reducing the number of points we own as our holiday requirements have altered with age. However, we are retaining a proportion of our points to enable us to continue our membership of the club and to enjoy holidays as before, at a reduced level. We particularly wish to continue family reunions at Wychnor Park in Staffordshire where we are able to use 3 apartments which are of an extremely high standard.

Points can be sold either in total or split.
