We have used our points very flexibly by taking advantage of the late booking opportunities and have therefore maximised our holiday opportunities. We have taken straight 7-night bookings abroad or mixed and matched by having 3 nights at one resort followed by 4 or 7 nights at a different resort on the same island (e.g. Tenerife). This has made best use of the airfare and allowed us to experience different resorts. We have been able to get last minute bookings in the UK (due to cancellations) which has meant having mid-week breaks for fewer points out of season (with resorts such a Pine Lake on the edge of the Lake District - there isn't really an out of season time). We have never been disappointed with the quality of accommodation and have used full points to get a bigger apartment when wanting to take family and friends or have spread the points out using studios and therefore having more holiday breaks over a year. Having had a younger child when we first joined Diamond meant we never worried about the resort not being of a high safety standard. Staff have always been helpful, and we have never been disappointed with the accommodation. Fellow guests behave appropriately so you don't have the worry of rowdy holidaymakers! We love the flexibility of self-catering, but resorts have on site restaurants which can be accessed. We have enjoyed the variety of resorts in the UK and Europe and have not wanted to travel further although we have used Interval International for a resort in Majorca at the last minute and a December booking at Ambleside in the Lake District. In years when we have been unable to use the points due to our business commitments, we have passed these to family members or friends and shared the experience with them. None have been disappointed. We are now retired and although we have more time, we have made a decision to purchase a motorhome and holiday solely in the UK. We are motivated to sell the points quickly and there are 5000 available to the buyer which can be used this year January - December 2020) or forwarded to the period January - December 2021.There are also 5,000 available from last year which will be included if we have a completed sale by the end of April 2020.

Our favourite resort is White Sands Beach Club in Minorca - a beautiful quiet island with a complex on the edge of the resort with infinity pool, poolside restaurant with wonderful views and fabulous small almost private beach.
