Our Odyssey Membership

1. Introduction

Odyssey (previously Royal Resorts) which we joined in 2009, initially operated a chain of resorts in various countries such as Indonesia (Bali), Thailand, India, and some others. Initially our holidays (one week per year) could only be taken on a "weeks" basis (ie Saturday to Saturday). On joining we received ownership documents etc.

At the present time an Odyssey member may take one week's holiday in any resort owned by the company,
provided the Management Fee for each year has been paid in advance, and subject to availability of
bookings.

The agreement we signed covers the period from 2010 to 2035, so that at present it has some 20 years to
run. In 2010 we paid an additional fee which entitled us to "points" membership whereby a week's holiday
can start on any day. We have at present 185 points, which we understand corresponds to one week.

2. Odyssey Resorts

Below is a list of Odyssey resorts around the world, To start with, the following is a list of Odyssey resorts we have stayed in during the 6 years of our membership to date.


Royal Jimbaran at Bali/Jimbaran Bay (short walk to beach)
Karma Jimbaran at Bali/Jimbaran Bay (adjacent to beach)
Royal Sanur at Bali/Sanur (walk to beach)

The resorts mentioned above are very comfortable, and all have swimming pools. Karma Jimbaran appears to be the newest.

3. Points of interest

There are a number of reasons why we particularly favour Karma Jimbaran (KJ) over other Bali locations.
For example KJ is quite close to the very well - known Bali seafood restaurants. These consist of about
10 to 15 restaurants which are side by side at the top of Jimbaran Beach, with tables set up on the beach right down to the water. They serve delicious seafood meals exclusively and attract a lot of custom, particularly as the sun sets. Conveniently there are also quite a few restaurants within a few hundred metres of KJ, or accessible via a short taxi ride , which we frequent in preference to eating in the one restaurant in the resort.

Other features which may be of interest to potential buyers of our timeshare are as follows:

- KJ in particular is quite close to Bali Airport ( an inexpensive 15 minute or so taxi ride)
- Most villas in KJ have a pool exclusively for the use of the tenants
- All villas in KJ sleep at least 4 people, the larger ones with two or three bedrooms can obviously sleep more.
- All villas in KJ have modern flat-screen TV sets, phones, and WiFi
- All KJ villas we have occupied in previous years have a fully equipped kitchen, large dining table, and a combination sofa/lounge.
- Each villa has at least two bathrooms, including one outdoor private shower.
- Each villa is surrounded by its own privacy wall.
