As a "golf nut" together with 3 of my golf buddies we purchased a fixed week at the Matchroom Country Club
Mijas, Spain. One deciding factor was that the resort has RCI Gold Crown Status, which is well deserved.
We then changed to a "floating week" that can be used from January till the middle of June,(week 24), or
can be used in November and December.

Alternatively one can book at the Playa Real or Marbesa, in Gold and Silver level.
With almost 100 courses within easy commuting distance, it has proved to be an ideal golfing base for a
pre - season visit.

Malaga airport is less than 20 miles from the complex, by dual carriageway, so with an early morning flight,
we were always on the first tee just after lunch on arrival day.

As any keen golfer will appreciate, what a difference it makes to get out and practice in warm weather on
great courses with great facilities.

The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 but was ideal for the 4 of us. Accommodation comprises double en suite bedroom, twin bedded bedroom, family bathroom, and large dining lounge with double sofa bed. The lounge opens out on to the balcony, which has table and chairs.

The complex is totally secure, with the added benefit of underground parking below the apartments, so there
is no need to carry ones clubs in each night. Even going out in late March/ early April one could use the 2 outdoor pools, or the indoor facilities, which include a 3rd pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. After dinner members can use the full sized snooker tables in the basement.

There are good restaurants on site and within easy walking distance, and Fuengirola town centre is only a
short drive, or taxi ride. Taxis are always available on site in the evenings.

Unfortunately age is taking it's toll on some of my golfing partners who no longer feel up to playing a full
weeks golf, otherwise we would not be selling.
