Exchanges can be done through Interval International .I am a golfer and so is my husband , we have really enjoyed staying in top class villas and apartments on golf courses , within walking distance of the course saving us time and allowing us the options of of adding on twilight golf , and an extra 9 holes! The difference between a golf hotel package and a timeshare resort is the space to keep our clubs safely and prepare snacks to take with us, and have a comfortable home to rest after.

We have particularly enjoyed Vale de Lobo in Portugal, Tenerife Golf and Country club on Golf del Sur, where our garden was adjacent to the course so we had the views and could watch other golfers. Also Bodyke in Co.Limerick Ireland, the houses were on the golf course but as the restaurant and bar closed early the local pub owner would drive down in a minibus, and transport us to his Music pub for a feast of Dinner, Irish music and dancing, so even the designated driver gets to join in.

The staff in England and on the resorts are so helpful organising tee times, car hire and anything you need ,so its possible to have an independent holiday but with all the advantages of a package!

When not golfing I have travelled with to sun breaks with the girls and on my own to Santa Barbara in Tenerife with penthouse suites and all round views from the sun roof, Costa Sal in Lanzarote on the best beach Los Pocillos, quiet but 10 minutes away from the night life, Costa Adeje in Tenerife also a beach resort with fabulous restaurants on the beach for dinners with a view, Los Amigos Fuerteventura Benalmadena Costa mainland Spain all with fabulous sea food restaurants nearby.

So I highly recommend Diamond resorts for singles. couples, families. golfers and sun bunnies, the options are immennse.
