We have been members of Four Seasons Vilamoura for 22 years, almost since the beginning! We have enjoyed many lovely holidays there with relatives and friends over the years but after a lot of thought and nearing retirement and changing interests, we have decided that its time to move on. We actually want to spend more time now exploring Great Britain, though we will still be visiting the resort on occasion as we have friends who are members.

The resort is situated in the very picturesque "Old Village" area of Vilamoura, and just a 30 minute drive from Faro Airport. The bustling marina is about a 15-20min walk away and has many bars and restaurants, and of course the whole of the Algarve has many beautiful golf courses. There is a supermarket within the Old Village that provides everything you need and is a 5min walk away and there are larger supermarkets in Vilamoura if you have a car. There are also restaurants in the Old Village which we have tried and tested and have all been excellent in food and service.

The apartment sleeps 6 and has an extremely "home from home" feel. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 very large double (bed big enough for three!!!!!) and one twin with plenty of storage in both to cater for 6 people, and the sofa in the lounge easily converts into a double bed. There are 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with every appliance you would need including a washing machine and tumble drier. There is also a flat screened TV with many English channels and radio. All apartments have balconies with very pleasant views either over the pool area or golf course. If you are in one of the higher apartments you can see the marina and sea in the distance.

The resort has many facilities including 3 outdoor pools and an indoor pool with a jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and squash court. For the less energetic there is a pool bar and indoor bar, which also provides a takeaway food service, and a very nice restaurant in the club house where there is entertainment every night. There are also plenty of car parking spaces above and below ground. The staff, from reception, to bar and restaurant, to housekeepers and maintenance etc have always been extremely friendly, helpful and very efficient and have kept the resort to a very high standard and nothing is too much trouble. Whilst when we first joined Four Seasons we were allocated an apartment number for the purposes of registering, you can be given any apartment or actually ask for specific apartments if you have a preference, obviously it would not be guaranteed that you would get your choice but they do their utmost to accommodate all requests in our experience. Our week comes under "Flex A" which allows you to holiday anytime other than mid July to mid September.

The maintenance charge for 2015 is already paid and included in the price and the week we have booked for 2015 is the October half term. This could possibly be changed subject to availability.
