The Pine Cliff apartments are situated over looking the 9-hole golf course at the stunning 5 Star Sheraton Algarve Resort. The resort is located 30 minutes drive west of Faro Airport and Albufeira, 15 minutes away. The A22 motorway between Seville and Lisbon is also about 15 minutes.

The Resort, which is set in beautiful grounds, is located on the cliffs with great views out to sea and along the coast in both directions.

The apartments - the five blocks are only three stories high and access is by lift or stairs. They have two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one ensuite), living area, two balconies and fully fitted kitchen. The kitchen includes dishwasher and washer/dryer. The apartments are serviced daily and have wireless internet access, round-the-clock room service and both pay and satellite television.

Members of Pine Cliffs have full use of all the hotel facilities which include:

Swimming Pools - several pools of various sizes and depths catering for little children to those who want to swim.

Tennis - 5 floodlit tennis courts (2 clay and 3 hard courts) - equipment can he hired and coaching is available.

Golf - stunning 9 hole golf course, part of which is along the cliff edge. There is a large golf range looking in land to the hills. Equipment can be hired and coaching is available.

Health Centre - gym, with personal trainers if required, and indoor swimming pool.

Restaurants and bars - there is a wide variety serving a variety of cuisine.

Child Care - for children between 6 months and 8 years - there is the Pirate Ship Children's Village which is run by experienced and qualified staff and offers all sorts of activities. It has is own pool, sandpit, bicycles, swings etc

The Beach - access to the beach is by lift or steps. The view from the lift is stunning. There is a beach restaurant, sun beds, umbrellas, beach towels and water sports centre. The restaurant has toilets and showers.

The beach is sandy and to the west there are some rock pools and at low tide you can walk around the cliffs to the next village. Walking in the other direction you can go all the way to Vilamoura which is about 3 km.

Beach towels/sun loungers - these are available free not only at the beach but also at all swimming pools. For those who do not want to be on the beach or around the pool they are also available under the pine trees on the cliff top grass looking out to sea.


There is only one entrance/exit to the resort and this is manned by security 24/7.

Immediately outside the Resort there are numerous shops including two supermarkets with fish, meat and delicatessen counters, numerous restaurants and other shops.

Discount - Members of Pine Cliffs get a discount on the Resort facilities, this is normally 10% but some years it has been higher. There is a specific Pine Cliffs concierge, as well as the Sheraton one. Staff throughout the Resort are always extremely helpful.

There is a variety of other types of accommodation at the Resort - including villas and townhouse, and these can be rented at a discount.

Pine Cliffs is a member of RCI.

Exploring the Algarve - the Resort is only a short distance from the main road from Tavira, which is east of Faro, to Sagres at the western tip of Portugal. A little bit further inland is the motorway which goes from Seville to Lisbon, and has a short branch off towards Sagres. There is plenty of parking at the Resort by the apartments.

We have been going to the resort for 17 years and throughout that time the maintenance of the buildings and beautiful grounds have always been at the highest standard. It is only because of health reasons restricting our travel that we have had to make the decision to sell out timeshare.
