Sahara Sunset is situated on the Benalmadena Costa, just 14kms from Malaga's Pablo Picasso-Airport, on Spain's Costa del Sol. From there you can either rent a car, take a taxi or catch the train directly to Arroya de la Miel station (journey time approx. 20 minutes). You're then just a 5 minute taxi ride from the resort (taxis available at the station. Or you could walk - it's downhill all the way!

We have owned 2, concurrent, floating weeks (7 & 8) at a 2-bedroomed, 2 bath/shower apartment sleeping 6 people since 1994. These weeks are timed over the February half-term period and is ideal for a quick winter break. Over the years, however, we have also used them to exchange (with RCI) for holidays all over the world (eg. Florida, Texas, Kenya, Malta, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Madeira, Majorca, etc). RCI Member reviews rate Saraha Sunset resort an impressive 4.2 out of 5 stars.

Saraha Sunset is built in the Moorish style and is an RCI Gold Crown Resort. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the reception is open 24 hours each day. The resort has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools (with poolside bar), a Jacuzzi, Spa (including steam room, sauna and salon services), a fitness centre, squash, a games room/arcade, mini-golf, and a playground for the children. The resort has beautifully landscaped gardens and is accessible for disabled guests. It provides a full program of entertainment and activities. There is also free parking. It takes just a few moments to walk to the beautiful, nearby beach and the Paseo Maritimo (which runs all along the coastline in both directions) - perfect for that morning stroll or something more energetic!

The apartment is well-furnished and well-equipped. It includes a/c, heating, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, Wifi, satellite/cable LCD TV (2x), DVD player, MP3 connectivity, security safe and furnished outdoor area (terrace/patio). The kitchen includes a full-sized cooker, 4 ring hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee-maker, toaster, juicer and kettle as well as a full range of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. Children's beds/cribs and highchairs are also available; the apartment is perfect for family holidays. The reason we are selling is that we are now retired and don't need a 2 bedroom apartment any longer.

There is a good restaurant and snack bar on-site plus a well-stocked, and reasonably-priced minimarket. Other supermarkets, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. The Puerto Benalmadena marina also has shops, restaurants and entertainment and is an easy walk along the Paseo Maritimo. Dine there and watch the glorious sunset!

Benalmadena is ideal for exploring the local markets, pretty villages, mountain regions and beach resorts of the Costa del Sol such as Mijas, Malaga, Marbella, Puerto Banus and Torremolinos.
