The first time we drove into Palm Gardens, we fell in love with it. The foliage and brilliant white apartments, along with its own entrance and secluded site. We walked along the clifftops and looked out to the Atlantic. It was peaceful and beautiful.

Palm Gardens continues to have that peaceful air and the non-stop view of the sea, its gardens are lush green grass with the maturing trees and shrubs. Our apartment has two floors, the lower contains the, kitchen, shower room and lounge with patio doors leading to the small patio and grass. It has its own parking spot, now surrounded by scented bougainvillea plants with views of the sea. Upstairs is two double bedrooms with balconies and a bathroom. The apartment can sleep 6 people using the lounge sofa bed and is very spacious. The view at sunset and during the evening are stunning. On site there is a wonderful pool, great for the children, a restaurant, and a gym, also a tennis court.

The local Praia is a short walk along the road and onto the wooden walkway. It is a suntrap, with a small cafe which serves meals all day.

Carvoeiro is a walkable distance has many shops, bars and restaurants but is still very much the fishing village. There are also large supermarkets a short way outside the village. Portimao is about 10km away with many other coves in the local area.

The Algarve has many golf courses, horse riding, a zoo, and local markets. Further afield are small towns, lighthouses, and many other interesting places.

The Pestana group is affiliated to RCI so we have had many exchange weeks, to the Canaries, India, Malta��. We have week 42, which is very convenient for school half term, when the Algarve can be comfortably hot. We fly into Faro airport and usually hire a car for ease, but Palm Gardens will arrange transportation if required.
