The Crane at St. Philip, Barbados, an RCI and Registry Collection affiliate, is the oldest, continuous operating resort in the Caribbean. While vacationers have the distinct feel that they are away from it all here, the resort is also near to it all and is only 15 minutes away from the international airport. Island-wide public transit is within easy walking distance, and the resort provides on-site parking, on site taxis, and on-site car rentals. Located on 40 clifftop acres and with immediate access to the world-famous Crane Beach, The Crane has a self-contained retail village, a spa, a fitness centre, five outdoor pools, floodlit tennis courts, 5 restaurants, and 3 bars.

Our unit is located on the third floor of the very desirable Building 5 (Cliff Cot), which overlooks the ocean from the top of the Crane cliff. It consists of 2 bedrooms and 3 baths, including a separate and private studio apartment with its own fully equipped kitchen, full bath, garden view balcony, and TV/DVD player. The main 1 bedroom apartment includes a master suite with a gorgeous spa bath with a separate, jetted jacuzzi, a separate multi-headed shower, double vanity, and ample closet space. The large, furnished balcony provides an expansive view of the spectacular ocean beloe. The main unit also has 2 TV/DVD players, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. The unit is equipped with cable TV service and WI-FI internet service. Although we have never opted for air conditioning, thanks to the refreshing, constant sea breeze, during our twenty years of Crane ownership, it is available for an additional fee.

While we have usually opted to spend our annual week at The Crane for the past twenty years, we have also traded through RCI for weeks in Hawaii (Kauai and the Big Island), Portugal, St. Martin, and Punta del Este, Uruguay.

After twenty years of loving The Crane, we are selling because we recently purchased a home in an Oceanside community in northeast Florida and no longer need to vacation away from our home.
