Monte Carveiro resort is situated 45 minutes from Faro airport on the Algarve. Week 38 is in mid September when there is constant sunshine but the searing heat is over. We have so enjoyed our timeshare for the past 25 years that we have bought an apartment on a nearby golf course.

MC is ideally situated, - a short walk down the hill to the village and wonderful beach. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars in the onsight MC Square and in the town. The apartments have been extensively refurbished and are now updated and contemporary with all the necessary new appliances, air conditioning, washing machine, TV etc. Unfortunately I have no photos of the new interiors. It is a spacious 2 bedroomed duplex with the 2 bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs. There is also a pullout sofa in the lounge sleeping 6 in total. Upstairs is the large kitchen with living area and dining area opening onto a balcony with a 6 seater table where we enjoy all our meals overlooking the pool area. There is a second bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a private garden with 2 sun loungers where you can lie in privacy 20 metres from the pool. There is plenty of parking available. The unit is 50 metres from the Reception and the Superette.

Carvoeiro is on the most beautiful stretch of the Algave with many magnificent beaches, golf courses, water parks, children's entertainment and shopping all in close proximity. Monte Carvoeiro Resort has Gold Crown status and is extremely well managed. We are members of RCI and have enjoyed many timeshare exchanges in various countries in the years that we have not been able to get to Portugal from South Africa. It is an exceptional resort and worth Googling.
