The Crane is a luxury resort on the South-East coast of Barbados, about 15 minutes' drive from the island's international airport. The resort is affiliated to RCI and holds their Gold Crown Award.

The resort is situated adjacent to the beautiful Crane Beach with its clean, pink sand lapped by the turquoise ocean. The beach can be accessed directly from the Resort via a glass elevator or by steps if you like exercise. The original swimming pool for the resort is set high above the beach with magnificent views out over the ocean. Latterly the whole resort has been very attractively landscaped, incorporating several pools and a Jacuzzi. There are numerous quiet spots around the pools equipped with sun loungers where attentive staff will bring cocktails to you while you sunbathe, if you wish.

The site is well served with excellent restaurants including International/ Caribbean, Italian and Japanese cuisines. Other amenities include a spa, gym, a number of shops and a variety of bars.

Our family has owned apartments at the Crane for many years, owning the current apartment since it was built around ten years ago. We have so many wonderful memories of this beautiful, relaxing and friendly place, and have spent many happy times exploring Barbados, and sampling excellent restaurants in fabulous settings all over the island. Grandchildren have been coming here since they were small, and loved it as much as children as they did when they reached adulthood.

There are 4 fixed weeks for sale which cover parts of March and April (for those interested in cricket, this can coincide with international matches). The apartment is in block 5 on the ground floor, comprising two independent suites connected by a lockable internal door. The block is found at the boundary of the resort close to the magnificent coastline and in a particularly tranquil and private location. Both units are well furnished and equipped to a high standard with air conditioning available and a daily cleaning service provided.

Our family circumstances have changed recently and we are no longer able to make the most of this beautiful place. We are sad that the time has come to sell but hope that whoever is lucky enough to take over the apartment will have as wonderful an experience of the place and create as many fantastic memories as we have.
