The low rise Four Seasons Fairways resort is situated directly adjacent to the newly refurbished Quinta do Lago North golf course and to the Quinta do Lago South golf course, a former Portuguese Open Championship venue. Both the San Lorenzo and Pinheiros Altos golf courses are nearby (1.4 km), with seven other 18 hole courses all within 14 km.

There are spectacular coastal walks along the Ria Formosa coastal Nature Reserve (1.7 km), a haven for wading and sub-tropical birds. Several good supermarkets and restaurants are available locally within 2 km.

Faro international airport is 17 km away by main roads (the airport is 4-5 km distant but aircraft noise is not intrusive).

The resort has excellent on-site facilities including: restaurant & bar, entertainment, pool with poolside bar (the pool has a supervised area for young children), pleasant secluded gardens, free Wi-Fi, mini-market, wellness centre and beauty salon, sauna and steam rooms, gym with fitness training facility, two tennis courts and coaching, children's fun club.

Apartment details:
The fixed week is on Week 16 in mid-April, with Sunday exchange, (sometimes including Easter). April day temperatures are 70-82F (21-28C). We have exchanged our week for a different week (and arrival day and apartment), on several occasions within the resort, when we wished. These (free) exchanges were handled smoothly by the resort staff.

Accommodation includes:
Two double bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms plus a third shower bathroom; sleeps 4 to 6.
Plus point: Suitable for wheelchair access (rooms are all on one level). The apartment is on the same level as, and close to, the free main car park (only 40 metres away).
Spacious facilities include open plan living area, kitchen area, oven, hob and microwave, three televisions with satellite channels, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. Electricity is included in annual management fee.

Large terrace and sunbathing area, which catches direct sun all day, 0800-1630 hrs., with barbeque and outdoor jacuzzi. Separate private outdoor clothes drying area. Wide views over the extensive, well maintained, mature and secluded resort gardens.

The reception and restaurant/bar/pool area is less than 150 metres walk from the apartment, down a slope or steps from the main car park area.
