Whitbarrow Village is a serene country club situated halfway between Keswick and Penrith on the border of the Lake District. None other than William Wordsworth once described this section of northwest England as the loveliest spot on the planet.
Cobbled streets and walkways connect the property's picturesque cottages, all of which were constructed in a traditional compact fashion. Ancient beams of oak and natural stone walls are featured in several timeshares. The number of bedrooms per unit ranges from one to three. A large library of films accompanies the DVD players found in all units.
A clock tower is the tallest structure on this property whose leisure complex contains a sauna, gym, swimming pool, snooker, squash court, and coffee bar. There is also a crazy golf course, outdoor tennis court, and holistic therapy centre. Timeshare owners may also drink at the bar or eat at the restaurant.
The nature trail, with its duck pond, on the Whitbarrow Village grounds is one of the few United Kingdom locations where native red squirrels can still be spotted.
The leisure club can arrange for horseback riding, archery, canoeing, mountain biking, or a number of other outdoor activities to enjoy in England's biggest national park. Nearby Windermere is a popular sailing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and water skiing spot. A 15-minute drive to the M6 motorway will lead to the ancient town of Penrith and its 14th century castle ruins.
