Moored up in the purpose-built marina at Barton Turns are The Classic Narrowboats which are named after Shakespearean characters such as King Lear. Take a peaceful jaunt along the Trent and Mersey Canal and escape the commotion of the city relaxing on the water and taking in the natural scenery.

Burton-on-Trent's National Brewery Centre gives an interesting insight into how Burton's world famous Bass brewing heritage came from. Branston Water Park offers the opportunity to explore a 40-acre woodland, wetland and wildflower meadow where visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls, bird watching and picnicking in the beautiful countryside. The National Memoreum Arboretum covers 150 acres and is a living memorial to those who lost their lives for their country featuring over 200 dedicated memorials, a spot of reflection for many visitors.
