The lodge looks out over the estate grounds, across and down towards the lake. For those who want to self-cater, we have had pre-ordered shopping delivered to the lodge on the day we arrived.

Located in Praze-an-Beeble, near Camborne, in beautiful Cornwall. Beaches to the North (Godrevy) and South (Praa Sands) and attractions such as St Michael's Mount and St Ives are within a 20 to 30 minute drive.

Just 12 miles from Penzance and Truro, you've got major shopping and entertainment just around the corner.

The on-site activities are of the highest quality: a fully equipped fitness centre and swimming pool with times set aside for adults only, a bar area and two excellent restaurants on the premises ensure that you never want to leave Clowance. You can also make full use of the tennis and basketball courts as well as the croquet law and a four-acre lake with trout fishing set in the immaculate grounds.

A holiday in Cornwall is a delight for the whole family. From walks across the deserted and rugged Bodmin Moors to some of the best surf in the British Isles. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a treasure of Cornwall and a delight for gardeners and wildlife enthusiasts. Just outside St Austell towards Mevagissy, the Gardens and the Eden project are both an easy day-trip from the estate. St. Michaels Mount and Lizard Point are within easy reach by car, and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth is a great morning out.
