A large balcony is an excellent place to relax or in good weather dine with trees all around you. Downstairs are two ensuite bedrooms which can be used as twins or doubles, a drying cupboard and washing machine.
In this lodge an additional feature is a fully functioning sauna.

Guests have full access to the leisure centre, a fully equipped gym especially for bad weather, a large swimming pool, a child's pool, a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and other games rooms. An outside tennis court and short walks within the grounds with lots of tree cover.
The bistro bar provides snacks and refreshments during the day with lunch and evening meals as required.

Ballater is a pleasant small town with a good range of cafes and restaurants and shops, other restaurants are available in Braemar, and Arboyne. Aberdeen is about 50 mins by car and has a regular bus service.
The old railway line from Aberdeen to Ballater is retained in parts as a walk and cycle way but road cycling also is popular. For me the big attraction always was the access to the Cairngorms and most years I have climbed Lochnagar the well known Munroe climbed by many members of the Royal family.
Balmoral is open for visitors in June and is definitely worth a visit. While the private residence is not open, the extensive grounds are free to roam and a good range of outhouses, there is also a café.
