Set amid the Amarila Golf & Country Club is this quaint timeshare resort within easy reach of both the airport and the beaches of South Tenerife. A mix of holiday accommodation and residential apartments, bungalows and villas, it makes for the ideal timeshare getaway for couples, families and golfers especially, with great views and access to the golf course, along with a good selection of shops, eateries and bars.

The resort complex is close-knit and located towards the southern end of the golf course—close to the coast—and is beautifully situated around a central pool which is heated in the winter. The pool and terrace are well laid out, with plenty of space for sunbathing, plus there is a sectioned-off paddling pool for children.

The timeshare villas at the Amarila Golf & Country Club are terraced and feature two or three bedrooms. They are well turned out with rich furnishings and fully-fitted kitchens with large refrigerator, cooker and even a washing machine. The accommodations also have a pleasant lounge area with a balcony, and some even coming with a private garden, a garage and a private pool area.

There are a couple of good eateries at Amarila as well as a popular restaurant just outside the resort, which us known as the Prem Bar, while a five-minute walk away is a handy supermarket. Patrons get a good discount on green fees at the adjoining Amarila Golf Course, a challenging links course that is popular with both visitors and locals, and which commands stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Sandy beaches are nearby, including the ever popular Playa de la Tejita for sunbathing and swimming, while El Medano is well noted for its windsurfing. Also near this area is the quaint village of Los Abrigos, a haven for great seafood restaurants, while in the other direction are the heaving resort towns of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.

Shuttle buses and taxis provide quick access to all of this, as well as to South Tenerife Airport, which is just a few kilometres to the east of the country club. Visitors can head to the monumental, volcanic peak of Mount Teide, within the nearby Teide National Park, by car or tour bus. The largest mountain of this virile island chain, and indeed all of Spain and the Atlantic islands, rises to over 3,700m and provides stunning island-wide views as well as some of the best hiking this side of Africa.
