The Royal Savoy Resort is a beautiful hotel in Funchal. It situated on the ocean cliff front with amazing views of the sea and Madeiran coast line. It is within easy walking distance to the town centre. This hotel appeals to and caters for all ages. The Hotel has 2 large outdoor pools with plenty of areas to sunbath and take in the beautiful views. It has 1 indoor pool with gymnasium. The pools are child friendly and our children loved spending most of their time there. It also has a spa which provides excellent treatments. It has several dinning options and themed nights for the evening which we thoroughly enjoyed. The breakfast selection is fabulous and plentiful. There are several bars which provide fabulous cocktails throughout the day. Room service is also available to dine in the room or on the balcony. It is also surrounded by many restaurants within walking distance catering for all dietary requirements. If choosing to self cater then there are several supermarkets close by that provide everything you may require. The hotel can organise trips and excursions aswell as recommend restaurants and book tables when required. Private transport can be arranged at an additional cost for arrival and departure to and from the airport. The apartment is a 2 bedroom apartment located on the 5th floor. It is available week 31 which is the 2nd week of the summer holidays so ideal for familys. It sleeps up to 6 people with a double sofa bed in the lounge area. It has a lock off option that means that part of the apartment can be rented out if not needed. It has two large bathrooms and separate WC off the entrance hall. Its kitchen is excellent for a self catering option as is fully equipped with everything you would require, including dishwasher, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer etc. The highlight of this apartment is the extra large balcony as it provides a space to be able to dine, sunbath and relax in private if required. ===============================================================

Out and about the garden island of Madeira offers up some great sightseeing and experiences. Take a dip in the Lava pools, sleigh ride down the steep streets of Funchal in a wicker toboggan and visit the tropical gardens of Monte Palace. For the more adventurous a trek to Pico Ruivo delivers stunning views of the volcanic landscape.
