As a Gold Crown status resort, Kilconquhar Castle Estate most definitely lives up to its excellent reputation. Three generations of our family have enjoyed the pleasure of this wonderful timeshare facility during thirty-three years of most memorable holidays here.

The onsite facilities are second to none. Guests can enjoy horse riding around the estate and surrounding areas, the grass golf range, two putting greens, a tennis court, heated indoor swimming pool / sauna, badminton court, fully equipped gymnasium, snooker room, table tennis, games room, peddle-carts and the bikes are a range of the readily available activities which are mostly all included without cost. There is also a free children's club with varied daily activities. An on-site shop provides daily basics and the top-class restaurant
and bar in the Castle itself (with adjacent beer garden) is available to enjoy seven days a week. The staff at Kilconqhar Castle Estate are super friendly and provide professional excellence to visitors.

The villa on offer is quiet, detached and set within well-manicured grounds. There is private
parking for two vehicles and the popular cross-country adventure track is nearby. It is also adjacent to a safe, walled in grass playing field which contains a children's play park and ample space for a variety of large scale, outdoor games.

Using the bed settee the villa can comfortably accommodate up to eight adults and has recently been refurbished to an extremely high standard. There are three ensuite bedrooms and the master bedroom has a jacuzzi bath. The vast living room is open plan connected to the dining / kitchen area that has all the expected facilities including a washing machine/dryer. A good Wi-Fi signal is available throughout the villa. Fresh towels, dressing gowns, tea, coffee, and bathroom necessities are all provided.

Nearby, there are beautiful seaside towns offering award winning beaches, championship and beginner golf courses, stunning walks (Fife Coastal Path), historical buildings, eateries, and bars. Our favourite locations are Elie, St Andrews and Anstruther (with three award-winning fish and chip shops!). Closer to home, renowned local restaurant, the Kinneuchar Inn is only a short walk from the Estate. You can pick your own delicious strawberries from the neighbouring Farm Shops and the local whisky and gin distilleries are well worth a visit.
There is a regular bus service on the doorstep of the Estate which services all the towns along the coast from St Andrews to Leven and the recently opened Levenmouth rail link is ideal for visiting Edinburgh and beyond.

There are other villas at Kilconquhar on the Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket website but what makes this villa more attractive than most is the fact that the prime week on offer falls in July during the Scottish school holidays. This week was especially chosen to cover the closing days of the Scottish Open Golf Championship and the practise and opening days of The Open Golf Championship (normally held in St Andrews every 5 years). Once purchased, your week at the villa can be sub-let out and the rates are especially attractive when The Open is at St Andrews. Due to this week it is common to achieve two weeks elsewhere in exchange for this one at Kilconquhar Castle Estate.

We have enjoyed over three decades of absolutely wonderful family get-togethers in the villa and it has been an exceedingly difficult decision to put this week up for sale. However, we are comforted by the fact that whoever is fortunate enough to purchase our week at villa "Elie" will have the chance to create their own happy and precious memories.
