The resort of Las Rosas is less than ten minutes walk from the town of Los Gigantes in the south west of Tenerife. The resort is set into the hillside with superlative views of the Atlantic Ocean and the cliffs that give the town its name. Las Rosas has a heated swimming pool and a dedicated children's pool, set amid the terraced landscape of the resort. Being on a hillside, Las Rosas is not suitable for those with walking difficulties. The resort has a well stocked grocery store, as well as a restaurant and bar offering excellent meals and light refreshments all day.

The town of Los Gigantes and the modern marina is a lovely day out, with the darkly coloured sands of Playa de los Gigantes a few minutes from the bustling harbour. Las Rosas makes an ideal base from which to explore the island of Tenerife. Take to the hills on a Jeep Safari and discover the unique landscape of the central areas of the island. You can't miss the stark magnificence of the dramatic peak of Mount Tiede and the volcanic crater and National Park are well worth a day trip.

Heading south you'll find the energetic and busy Playa de las Americas and the dazzling beaches at Los Cristianos. If you're looking for beaches that are a cut above the rest, head to Playa Duque in Costa Adeje – an exclusive Blue Flag beach, or the golden sands and large stretch of shoreline at Playa Fanabe. A visit to Playa Paradiso reveals dozens of tropical fish and ideal snorkeling conditions in the secluded coves.
