Cameron House is a very beautiful and comfortably luxurious resort on the banks of Loch Lomond with wonderful leisure and dining facilities. It is at the southern end of the loch near to the town of Balloch which has good local amenities or take a scenic drive to the supermarket in the coastal town of Helensburgh. The West End of Glasgow (Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Riverside Museum and wonderful restaurants and bars) is a mere 30 minutes' drive or head a bit further into the buzzing centre of Glasgow. If you don't want to drive, the train station at Balloch is within walking distance and for visitors flying into Glasgow, Glasgow International Airport is a mere 25 minutes' drive across the Erskine Bridge.

This peacefully located lodge, with parking bay for two cars, is well appointed near to the Cameron House Hotel, the leisure club and bars and an easy walk to the Boat House and marina. It is well maintained and has a luxuriously warm and welcoming ambience. Downstairs there are two good sized (double) bedrooms, each with their own en-suite and upstairs is a large living space with a very well appointed kitchen including breakfast bar. Here there is also a very comfortable fold away bed, along with extra storage space, in the living room for two more guests and there is the added luxury of a third bathroom with shower just through the small hall adjoining the sitting-room, for the comfort of extra guests and visitors. The lodge has a large balcony, overlooking the beautifully maintained greens and trees. Within view is the relatively new playground with its wooden fort (see photo), making it ideal for pre-school children; remember week 37 falls around the third week of September so there are usually only small visitors who play here at this time of the year. Since our ownership in 2019 we have enjoyed mainly dry sunny weather and surprisingly very little rain when visiting our home from home.
We are selling because we needed a bigger lodge as we had never expected our 3 adult children would all want to join us year after year but they do and now they all have partners who also want to join us, all travelling from Europe, for 'our' week in Scotland. The best part of this wonderful location is that everyone can do their own thing during the day; there's the spa and swimming-pool, well-equipped gym, excellent walking and hiking, a golfcourse on your doorstep and Lomond Shores is just a short walk away. Then in the evening we can cook and eat together at home in the lodge or enjoy a meal at one of the bars or restaurants. There are very attractive discounts on golf fees (50%) and on food and beverages (20%) and free access to the leisure facilities, for all lodge owners. We enjoy the pub-quiz en live music evenings. All this without having to leave the grounds
