There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and you enjoy visiting a new one each evening, we particularly like Casal da Penha. There are also many restaurants in Funchal Old Town.

Funchal offers shops, a farmers' market, a cathedral, traditional dancers, and cable car trips. The island has much to offer, including gardens to visit, Lavada's to walk, and visits to coastal towns or high up into the Nun's Valley, 4x4 safari rides along mountain tracks are great fun too.

Special events include the Flower Festival, Cherry Festival, and Classic Car show.
