The lodge for sale has been fully and beautifully refurbished. It is one of the Highland Club's premium lodges, located high up in the resort, with magnificent balcony views over Loch Rannoch, Schiehallion ("the Fairy Mountain"), and as far as Glen Coe. It is an incredibly peaceful place, and the opportunities to completely relax are endless.

Highland Club members have access to the on-site spa and leisure facility, perfect after a long walk or on a rainy day, and also to the recently developed marina, which incorporates a gym with fabulous views over the loch and the opportunities to hire bikes, e-bikes, kayaks, and paddleboards. It also now offers a lovely picnic area. We have done some wonderful bike rides around the loch, which can be extended to include a ride up to Rannoch Station. Well worth a visit is the tearoom, located on the station platform, with its legendary homemade cakes! Deer are often to be seen grazing nearby. We have enjoyed less strenuous walks in the Black Wood, from Carie, just across the loch, and more energetic ones, including a hike to the top of Schiehallion. The opportunities for walks of different lengths and levels of difficulty are countless. Kinloch Rannoch offers some lovely walks, riverside, and hills overlooking the village. There is a handy convenience store there (the TCS - i.e., the country store!), and a lovely little cafe. There is also a children's play area and a stony beach at the head of the loch, where we have spent many hours with the children!

We have enjoyed trips to Aberfeldy (there is a particularly nice bookshop and cafe there!), Pitlochry (shopping and the festival theatre!), House of Bruar, Blair Atholl with its beautiful castle, chocolate-making with the Highland Chocolatier, and a fabulous train trip from Rannoch Station to Mallaig, over the famous "Harry Potter" Glenfinnan viaduct.

The lodge has 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom with ensuite, and two other bedrooms, which can be made into double or twin-bed sleeping accommodation. There is also a double, pull-down bed in the living room upstairs - we have slept on it, and it is as comfortable as the others. There is a family bathroom downstairs, a walk-in shower, and a small loo/wash basin upstairs. There is ample storage space downstairs and also a coat/boot room. The main living area upstairs completely blew us away when we first saw it - the space, and light, and high vaulted ceilings. The open-plan living space includes a dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable lounge area and opens out onto a conservatory/balcony.
