The Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa (formerly Barnsdale Country Club) is set in England's tiniest county, Rutland, in the heart of Middle England's lovely rural scenery. Perched overlooking magnificent Rutland Water near the historic county town of Oakham, the resort offers timeshare units scattered around its parkland, a real home-from-home in unbeatable natural surroundings.

The two-bedroom Penthouse Apartment sleeping six is situated on the top floor of the Oakham building alongside the main Hall. It gives magnificent views over Rutland Water from the living room, balcony, and main bedroom. Ospreys are frequently seen close by and often close up as they fly from the woods behind to the water. The accommodation offers an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, and a balcony. There are two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and a further bathroom for the unit. The apartment is well equipped with TV, DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, and dishwasher.

The resort has a range of leisure facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, squash court, a fully equipped gym and lots of fun to be had on the crazy-golf, boules, and pitch and putt courses. The cycle path around Rutland Water is easily accessed from the site and gives many miles of safe cycling.

The typically English market town of Oakham is just a short drive away with its excellent coffee shops, pubs and restaurants, Norman castle, and interesting county museum. The castle (free admission) is well worth a visit to see the collection of horseshoes given to the County by visiting royalty. The surrounding villages also offer a huge choice of quality dining experiences in their many pubs. in addition, the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford, along with Burghley House, is only 8 miles away.
