As the apartment is at the end of the building the garden does form a thoroughfare so is very private. The garden runs across the front of 10 more apartments whose owners have access to the garden outside their apartment, which may only be accessed from the 12 other apartments which open on to the garden or by keypad access which is limited to owners of apartments which open onto the garden.

There are unobscured views of the ocean and foreshore to the South and West with limited views the east.

On the lush green island of Madeira, lying to the west of Funchal's centre is the Porto Mare Residence.

Part of the Porto Mare resort, this popular timeshare resort has a vast range of facilities available to guests. With three outdoor swimming pools (one of which is dedicated to children) and two indoor pools, you should always be able to find a spot to either to take a dip or simply relax by the pool. A very well equipped spa boasts two saunas, six treatment rooms, and gymnasium and provides a range of therapies to help spoil yourself.

Children are well catered for with entertainment geared towards 4 - 12-year-olds along with mini golf, table tennis and board games. Sporting facilities include tennis and Pétanque.

A selection of four restaurants offer quality dining experiences and with six welcoming and comfortable bar areas, you're sure to find your own favourite place to enjoy a sundowner or two! For those with a sweet tooth the resort also has its very own ice cream parlour!

The accommodation has been stylishly and comfortably furnished with units ranging in size from 30-35m2 studios, 70m2 1 bedroom and 100m2 2-bedroom apartments. Approximately 100 units look out toward the ocean and the resort's tropical gardens.

The large subtropical gardens of Porto Mare make good use of Madeira's lush climate and include hundreds of botanical species identified with individual explanatory tags.
