With respect to our experience at our Scandinavian Village timeshare, the experiences which we have enjoyed are:-

- Excellent walking areas - Cairngorm National Park - Abernethy National Park (forest area) - Larig Ghru Pass through the Cairngorm Mountains to Balmoral (I walked it myself in my younger days).

- Castles - Balmoral Castle (Queen's summer retreat) - Cawdor Castle (near Loch Ness)

- Whisky Distillery Tours (several options) - Brewery in Aviemore (visitors welcome)

- Local train service (Aviemore accessible by mainline train from Edinburgh) - Boat of Garton (refreshments served on the train)

Scandinavian Village Timeshare and Resort.

The Scandinavian Village Timeshare Resort is well placed within Aviemore being close to the railway station and also close to some good restaurants and pubs, which are often hotels to take advantage of the tourist trade. The resort is on a higher level than the main road through Aviemore and has an excellent view across to the Cairngorm Mountains and The Larig Ghru Pass. Our villa is well placed at the rear of the resort and not far from the management office. There is also an excellent footpath from the resort which goes through the pine trees above the town.
