My experiences at Marriott's Playa Andaluza have all been very pleasant. I bought this unit from Marriott directly many years ago, in fact I bought before this resort was even completed and before the timeshare resale market was available.
I bought in the "Silver Season" as I wanted a place that I was guaranteed to stay in for a winter break without any problems with availability or reservations etc. I also chose to buy an "EOY" unit (every other year) which means my usage is every even year, so my usage / occupancy is in 2022, 2024, 2026 etc etc. This also means I only pay maintenance fees every other year as well and this reduces my commitment and obligations and increases my choices and options to visit other Marriott resorts in the inbetween years.
When purchasing my unit, you will be offered the opportunity of joining (for a small annual fee) Interval International and enrolling in their "Deposit and Exchange" program which if you want, you can exchange your ownership week for a week in any other Marriott Vacation Club anywhere in the world, with no season restrictions, subject to availability but your deposit is good to use for up to 2 years after your deposited week.
If you purchase my unit, you can also join Marriott's Bonvoy rewards scheme and receive bonus points for every stay in your ownership week and purchase extra points at discounted rates during their special promotions and use these points to stay in any Marriott Hotel or Vacation Club or any of their associated Hotels worldwide at special member rates or use them for free nights or room upgrades.
Marriott's Playa Andaluza Beach Resort is classified as being in Estepona, but this is because it is just inside the Estepona boundary line from the boundary line of Marbella. It is more a part of San Pedro than anywhere else and San Pedro itself is just outside of Puerto Banus and only a short distance from Marbella "Old Town" and it is famous "Orange Square" which is always full of atmosphere with all its busy bars and restaurants, as indeed so is San Pedro itself and of course Puerto Banus. Marriott's Playa Andaluza is closer to Puerto Banus than any other 5-star vacation club. Marriott's Playa Andaluza is also just a short drive from the beautiful, picturesque mountain town of Benahavis with all its lovely restaurants for lunch or dinner and Ronda is also a "Must Visit" town in the mountains close by.
The weather in Marriott's Playa Andaluza's "Silver Season" is lovely, mild, and sunny most days with temperatures rising to about 20 degrees Celsius and it is a beautiful time of year to holiday on the sunny Costa Del Sol for that most wanted winter break.
