Week 31 is the first full week of the school summer holidays and is, therefore ideal for families with children (we used this to give grandchildren a holiday). Personal circumstances and grandchildren growing up means that we are unable to make full use of the facilities.

While this lodge is described as '1 bedroom', which is on the ground floor, there are, in fact, two further bedroom spaces upstairs, each with their own single bed and vanity unit (great for the grandchildren).

This unit comes with 6 Leisure Club passes (3 members, 3 guests). The annual management fees are far less than these Leisure Club passes, so, if living close enough and can use these facilities year-round, the week's holiday becomes a bonus.

If the week is not being used, we have banked this with 7 Across, who credit us with 2 weeks to be used anytime, anywhere, because of the high demand for this week in the UK (other holiday exchange companies are available).

The lodge is sited at the outer edge of the resort, with the boundary running along two sides and reasonably high up to look across Rutland Water. Squirrels are a very common sight and quite comical to watch from the outside dining area and even deer have been seen walking within a few yards. The location of the lodge and resort is ideal for making use of the facilities around Rutland Water and travelling further afield.
