Owning a lodge at Cameron House has been memory making for our extended family since the early 1990s. The luxury 2 bed, 3-bathroom lodge which sleeps 6, is located in a tranquil cul-de-sac about a 2-minute walk from the hotel and Lochside. Fully equipped with two en-suite double bedrooms on the ground floor, open plan living with fold down double bed plus shower room and toilet on the first floor, finishing with a balcony overlooking hole- 8 of the Wee Demon.

Our grandparents, parents, children, and their friends have all enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Loch Lomond and the impressive hotel facilities available to us, as lodge members.

For the young at heart when Grampa hogs the water slide at the Leisure Club other thrills are available by boarding the Celtic Warrior at the marina and cruising along the loch with the looming sight of Ben Lomond, which is a great circular 7-mile walk. Or for an unforgettable treat take off in the seaplane from the hotel jetty and gain a spectacular aerial view of the Trossachs National Park, which is also home to the longest zip wire ride in Scotland, at Go Ape Aberfoyle. The wee ones and less brave in our group like Lomond Shores with Sea life, Treezone, the Bird of Prey Centre or simply feeding the ducks at the shoreline.

Week 17 usually coincides with "Drive it Day Scotland" so you can take your car of interest and book on to the local rally, driving along beautiful scenic roads in Argyll and ending with lunch at the fairy-tale Inveraray Castle.

On the subject of food, the hotel and the Carrick Club have great restaurants that cover most occasions with discounts for members, our family favourite being the Boat House. But there are also good options within 20-minute staggering distance of the resort - we have enjoyed many great nights at Duck Bay and the Princess Rose in Balloch to name a few.

We have had so much fun during our holidays at Cameron House Lodges, and we will miss it, but it is time for a new family to make new memories. We hope the new owners find it as rewarding.
