"We've owned our Exton Lodge week at Barnsdale Country Club for many years. We've really enjoyed using the Club's leisure facilities including the swimming pool, sauna/steam rooms, Jacuzzi and gym, meeting new friends along the way. It's been good to have four passes with this lodge, which we've used all year round.

The beautiful Rutland Water walking and cycle route is fabulous, taking us through woodland, the famous half-sunken church at Normanton, bird hides and various cafes. We've often chosen not to use the car at all. Bikes of all different types are ready to hire at the nearby Whitwell centre. A glass of wine on the resort's West-facing patio has been very welcome after the exercise! We've also made good use of the on-site bar and restaurant, which has been very convenient.

We've used our timeshare week in several different ways and it's given us flexibility. For example, we've invited family members who don't live locally to visit us and stay in our timeshare lodge, using all the facilities. We've also enjoyed exchanging our week for trips to Spain, California, Arizona and Scotland.

On the occasions when we didn't want to use our week, Barnsdale has successfully rented it out on our behalf several times. The fact that our week often falls during the Easter holidays has definitely helped. Retirement to another place has meant that it's now time for us to sell".
