The Village Holiday Club is well located off the northern Cretan coast in the laid-back village of Koutouloufari, east of Heraklion. Boasting an authentic Greek village setting, it is ideal for couples, families and groups looking to avoid the hectic resorts of the island and yet still be within easy reach of the main action. It is close enough to Koutouloufari’s shops, eateries and bars, however, and is just a short transfer from the airport.

The Greek styled buildings of this popular timeshare complex are traditionally decked out and feature a sitting room with a sofa bed, a large bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. Some of the 40 units have balconies with views of the gardens and the swimming pool, or out to sea, while all have kitchenettes with cookers, fridges and coffee/tea makers. The staff are multilingual and there is free on-site parking along with wireless internet (charged).

Dining and entertainment at the Village Holiday Club is at the in-house restaurant or bar, plus there are several other venues within reach. Koutouloufari is a good place to pick up knickknacks made by local artisans, such as traditional Cretan gold and silver jewellery. Also nearby is the village of Piskopiano, the Aquaworld Aquarium and Crete Golf Club, while Heraklion and its airport are easily accessed by shuttle bus or taxi.
