A special place in my memories. A resort that has virtually everything, the ocean, the beaches where one can walk for miles, the wildlife, the flamingos, crocodiles all with the backdrop of the jungle.

Apartments are spacious, clean with a large balcony inclusive of a splash pool. Bathrooms are well-presented with plenty of towels and amenities. Cannot fault the lounge and kitchen, everything you need for a comfortable stay. One is truly spoilt.

Staff are understanding and polite, nothing is too much trouble. The drivers of the golf buggies that drive us around the resort from place to place are always ready for a chat and a laugh!

Restaurants onsite are plentiful. For fine dining, the Asian, Italian, and French are a must. Also, a number of smaller restaurants around onsite. The Del Largo serve self-service breakfast/ dinner buffet with entertainment. The Havana Moon restaurant right on the beach is extremely popular. Then across the freeway is the "Cirque de Soleil" an amazing show. One is picked up by the golf buggy drivers and driven to the entrance of the resort, then through a tunnel under the highway into what is a different world with lighting effects, restaurant, and of course the main attraction, the "Cirque de Soleil".

Apart from the beach there are numerous swimming pools. My choice is the Luxxe pool, approx. 85 metres length, strictly for members, only a minute from the beach.

The village of Carmen is only 20 minutes away. Extremely busy at night, certainly worth a visit. A shuttle bus is available.

The benefits of being a member of Grand Luxxe is that you can transfer to the other company resorts, i.e., Neuva Vallarta, Porto Vallarta, Aculpaco and others on the Mexican coast.

One can use the raised boardwalks to visit over the whole of the complex. Sadly, I am now on my own (my wife passed away last year after short illness). There are too many memories for me to go back and I know full well that the purchaser will enjoy many vacations there.
