Barnsdale Country Club is situated on a gentle hillside in beautiful countryside with stunning views over Rutland Water. The lake is picturesque, often dotted with small sailing boats, windsurfers, and the occasional boat with trout fishermen (motor boats are forbidden here). Most water sports are available with plenty of opportunities for children and adults to learn and enjoy. The Bird Reserve at Egleton is a must for nature-lovers. Cycling around Rutland Water is a popular pastime, bikes being available for hire and there are numerous lovely and varied walks close by. A boat trip on the Rutland Belle is highly recommended.

The local area has much to offer with the pretty market towns of Oakham and Uppingham and the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford nearby. East Midlands airport is just 37 miles away and Peterborough has a main railway station for trains to London and Edinburgh. The surrounding countryside is quiet, unspoilt and has lots of cosy country pubs.

The apartment is a spacious 2 bedroom Uppingham Style penthouse that sleeps 4. It has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, bathroom, fully fitted kitchen and lounge/dining area, all being very tastefully decorated. There is a TV & DVD player in the lounge. There are stunning views of the water and surrounding landscape from the balcony. The apartment is available for a fixed week, in MID AUGUST (WEEK 33) which always covers the school holidays. It is a Sunday handover and there is private parking for one car.

Barnsdale Country Club benefits from excellent facilities, including a leisure club and spa, gym, tennis courts, table tennis, pitch and put, crazy golf, squash court, and bowling green. There is both a bar, serving food and drinks throughout the day and a more formal restaurant open for lunch and dinner. OWNERS AND GUESTS HAVE FOUR CONCESSIONARY PASSES AND THE USE OF FACILITIES ALL YEAR ROUND.

The whole site is very well maintained, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped and managed throughout the year.
