Barnsdale Hall Hotel is to be found at the top of Barnsdale Hill just off the main road. It is overlooking the famous Rutland Water and about 2miles from the county town of Oakham in the smallest county in Great Britain.

We bought a time share there in 2003. As we only live a short distance from the complex, we primarily bought it to use all the facilities and exchange the odd week as we are RCI members. Our apartment is two bedrooms, one bathroom and sleeps four. It is a ground floor apartment with a fixed week. We have not been in the apartment for several years, so I would not like to comment on the interior, but the last time we did see it, it was very tastefully decorated.

Over the years we used all the facilities they have to offer. We loved our family visits. Our children enjoyed playing Crazy Golf, snooker, using the Gym and swimming, especially the hot tubs and of course a nice hot chocolate in the bar area after. In later years, our grandchildren have had the same benefits.

I used the excellently equipped Gym every day after work and my Wife and I loved to use the main restaurant, that serves good food, once a week especially after our spinning class. Over the years we certainly immersed ourselves in whatever the complex had to offer.

However, life goes on. Our children have gone their separate ways and our grandchildren live in another county. So, despite loving every minute at Barnsdale we find we now are not getting the use we once had and feel it is time to move on. I do very much hope someone will be able to get full use of our time share and the excellent amenities Barnsdale has to offer.
