Located in Shropshire, Blackwater Marina provides a rural route along the Llangollen Canal where delightful pubs and market towns can be visited.

The first stop for many on this route is the 18th Century Market town of Ellesmere regarded as the “mini lake district” and is a peaceful first nights stop on the canal. Built in 1805, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a major attraction along this route and spans 1000 feet over the Dee Valley and gives its visitors the feeling of being suspended in mid-air. Llangollen is a worthwhile stopover too and every July it hosts the International Musical Eisteddfod, a gala of music and dance to be admired.

The ABC Class 4 and 6-berth canalboats come well-equipped for your holiday on the waters of Shropshire.
