We are selling our one week's Timeshare in a studio in the Savoy Palace, Funchal, on the beautiful and warm Portuguese island of Madeira. The Savoy Palace has only recently opened after a long period of rebuilding the original Hotel Savoy. It is a 5-star luxurious hotel with all the amenities anyone would expect - a huge pool, a spa, gym, large and beautiful gardens, and varied restaurants - all of which are available to the owners of the Timeshare. Also available are the amenities of the sister hotel the Royal Savoy just below the Savoy Palace. The two hotels front the sea. The resort is about 15 miles from Santa Cruz airport on a 20-minute ride.

The Savoy Palace is a short walk away from the centre of Funchal with its many varied restaurants and all the facilities to be expected in a thriving coastal resort including sailing and dolphin and whale watching. Funchal is the capital of Madeira and has all the requisite amenities for shopping and business as well as pleasure. There are many beautiful gardens to explore as well as churches and other historic buildings. The town is spread over a natural amphitheatre below the highest hills on the island and cable cars are available to get to the summit at Monte. Vineyards (quinta) on the island are work exploring as are the wines and of course Madeira wine itself.

The rest of the island is less developed but there are very good roads for those who want to venture further afield. In the interior you can enjoy mountain walks and trekking as well as flatter walking alongside the numerous Levada or watercourses which are everywhere on the island, all with superb views. All these activities can be organised from the hotel or in the town with minibuses to pick you up.

The timeshare is for week 15 which falls in early April. The climate is sub-tropical throughout the year and it rains mostly in the winter months. By April is always warm but it never gets too hot. The whole island will be in bloom and beautiful flowers such as agapanthus grow like weeds on the roadside. Sometimes the week will be Easter, this year (2020) the timeshare starts on Easter Monday. It is a studio apartment with two beds, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The timeshares are managed by the Savoy Palace Vacation Club which will contact you to stock the kitchen with basic foodstuffs before your arrival and organise a taxi from the airport (30 Euros). You can exchange your week if desired via Interval International.
