The nearest airports are Manchester, Glasgow, and Carlisle.

We have access to shared beautiful Italian style terraced gardens with cascades, fountains, imaginative planting, and footpaths through the wooded grounds.

Our apartment has direct views from the bedroom and living room across Keswick, Derwentwater, Cat Bells and the mountains.

The estate is maintained to a very high standard, with regular refreshes as you would expect to maintain a 5-star rating.

Ownership at Underscar includes membership at the stunning Oxleys Health Spa. Here you can enjoy an indoor heated pool with jacuzzi, state of the art steam room, saunarium, fitness room, health & beauty studio, a bistro and bar.

Keswick Market Town and Tourist Information Centre (1 mile away)
for advising on exploring the many attractions of the Lake District, particularly for those who like outdoor pursuits such as walking, climbing or mountain biking.

There is a good choice of restaurants, supermarkets, shops, and pubs, as well as a theatre and cinema. Keswick Launch boat takes visitors to several points around the lake.

Local regular buses visit the honey pot villages of Grasmere, Ambleside, Lake Windermere.

The Apartment:
The apartment is on the rear row of cottages, set up on the hillside, has 1 bedroom, sleeps 4, and consists of:

• Open plan living/dining area, with fabulous views over Derwentwater a comfortable double sofa bed, 2 armchairs, a wall unit containing flat screen TV, Sky box, DVD player and Sonos sound system, and a landline telephone.
• The dining area with table and 4 chairs.
• Kitchen containing halogen hob, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and a full range of kitchen equipment.
• Small outer hall, with coat and shoe racks, and drying cupboard.
• Main bathroom with WC, basin, shower/steam room.
• Bedroom with fabulous views over Derwentwater, double bed, bedside table, dressing table, wardrobe/cupboard unit, which contains a flat screen TV with connectivity to the Sky box
• En-suite bathroom to bedroom, with WC, basin, large bath, and washing machine/dryer.
• There is a dedicated parking space for one car and additional parking is available at a small cost.
• There is also a large outdoor patio area overlooking water features and towards the lake and mountains.

We purchased the apartment in 2005 and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay every year, however our recent move to live a short distance away has meant we no longer have a requirement for the apartment. The occupation period is week 35A (normally August Bank holiday weekend) from Saturday afternoon to Tuesday morning. A management fee covers cleaning, bed linen, towels etc. Electricity and gas are payable in addition, billed shortly after occupation. There is a maintenance team on site to deal with any issues arising although we have never had the need to use them.

If an owner does not wish to use their slot, it can be rented out, either privately or through the management company. Underscar is also a member of the Dial an Exchange global timeshare exchange programme.
