Burnside Park is a jewel in the crown of the Lakes. The resort is so near to the bustling village of Bowness which has fabulous restaurants, bars and shops and yet is incredibly peaceful.

The cottage is cosy, warm and very well equipped with very efficient heating. Allocated parking and WiFi.

On the ground floor there is the master bedroom with a spacious en suite shower room and TV. There are wardrobes and drawer storage. It has patio doors which lead onto a small patio with a bench. A bathroom with underfloor heating and a shower above the bath. Both showers have good power. Next to the bathroom is the twin bedroom with wardrobes and drawer storage. There is also storage for jackets, suitcases etc as you enter the cottage. Upstairs is an airy and light open planned area which hosts the kitchen, sitting and dining areas. The kitchen is fantastic. It has everything you could ever need with fridge, dishwasher, electric cooker and a Nespresso coffee machine (pods available to purchase from reception). Plenty of crockery and cooking utensils. The sitting area has a 3 and 2 seater sofa which are extremely comfortable, a TV and a games coffee table. The dining area has a table that seats 6 very comfortably. Off the dining area is an enclosed balcony and leading off of this is an open balcony, both have table and chairs to relax and watch the world go by. There is a mezzanine level above the sitting/dining area which has 2 single beds, drawer storage and a clothes rail. There is plenty of clean good bed linen and towels.

Residents in the cottage have access to the leisure facilities located in the Burnside Hotel next door. The pool is amazing. Beautifully lit, with fountain, sauna, steam room and 2 hot tubs, very spa-chic. There is also a small traditional cosy pub with log fire that offers everything from a cappuccino, a light lunchtime snack or bar meal.

Burnside Park is the best base if you want to travel anywhere in the Lakes. You can easily reach any destination by bus or boat if you don't want to drive anywhere (except, of course, the remote tarns and fells).
