The Royal Savoy Resort is situated in Funchal, Madeira and is a 30-minute transfer from Funchal airport. The main town centre is only 10-15 minute's walk away where there is a wide range of shops, a shopping mall, the fascinating farmer's market as well as numerous places to enjoy a coffee or a meal. The old town is a further 5-minute walk, where the old cobbled streets and painted front doors provide many photo opportunities.

Near to the old town is the cable car allowing access to the beautiful Monte gardens and the Botanical garden.

Close to the Royal Savoy there is a good number of eating places providing a range of food from Indian and Italian to Portuguese and English. The Royal Savoy itself also has a pool bar and Armada Deck Restaurant for lunches and a restaurant for more formal dining in the evenings. There is a range of musical entertainment in the Piano Bar each evening.

The resort boasts 2 outdoor pools, a jacuzzi as well as an indoor heated pool and a gym. There is also a health spa on site.

The 1-bedroom apartment, which sleeps up to 4 people, is situated on the 4th floor with access by lifts. It is in a quiet part of the hotel just off a very large landing. It is fully air- conditioned.

The bedroom is large and has a super king-sized bed, ample wardrobe space and a TV. In the entrance to the apartment is a further wardrobe. The bedroom has an en suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, bidet, and WC.

In the lounge/dining area there is a circular dining table with 4 chairs. There are 2 armchairs and a sofa bed. This can be converted to a good sized and comfortable double bed.

The fully equipped kitchen provides a hob, grill/microwave, and dishwasher for all your self-catering needs.

There are patio doors from both the bedroom and lounge onto a large balcony with side sea views towards the harbour across the hotel gardens. It is furnished with 2 sun loungers and a table with 4 chairs - ideal for eating al fresco.

Week 23 is in early June, but the resort allows the week to be banked for use at a later date.
