Barnsdale Country Club is situated on the shore of Rutland Water, one of the largest reservoirs in England. It has fine views over the reservoir. It is a regional centre for water sports, with a large sailing club, the national bird watching centre, a walking and cycle route all round, trout fishing and a number of parking sites with leisure facilities and cafes. Barnsdale is within 5 miles of the towns of Oakham and Stamford, and within 3 miles of the A1.

The resort is an RCI Gold Crown resort. The landscaped grounds include a 9-hold pitch and putt golf course and an 18-hole crazy golf course, a bowling green. Indoors is a swimming pool with a kiddie's area, a snooker room and table tennis, and playroom especially for young children. There is a restaurant with fine dining and a separate informal dining/drinks area. The resort has a separate bridal/functions suite, very popular for weddings.

The resort is laid out in landscaped grounds on a gently sloping hillside with the lodges well separated from each other.

The week for sale is week 30, mid-summer and school holidays, and the lodge is free standing 2 storey 3-bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms and with an upper lounge floor with balcony and fine views over the site and the reservoir. There is a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher and full cooker and there is a television. There is parking for one car outside the unit, and there is other nearby parking for other vehicles.

The week is a fixed week. It is for sale because we live in the area and have used the unit for visits of our children and grandchildren, who live elsewhere, during school holiday times. The grandchildren are now leaving home and holidays are increasingly being taken overseas. The unit has therefore outlived its purpose for our family.
