Barnsdale Country Club is a really smart timeshare and hotel complex situated on the banks of Rutland Water the UK smallest county Rutland. Built in the mid-1970's Rutland Water, Europe's largest man-made link covers an area of over four-square miles. Over the ensuing years it has developed to become one the country's leading centres for tourism. Rutland Water is renowned for sailing and windsurfing, fishing, cycling, walking, and birdwatching. While if golf is your thing there are a number of courses within a short drive from Barnsdale.

Rutland is renowned for its beautiful countryside and its easy access to the traditional stone-built market towns of Stamford, Oakham and Uppingham (all of whom have weekly and farmers markets). With idyllic villages, Rutland has some of the best food pubs in the country, check out one of the many guides but you cannot go far wrong with the Olive Branch in Clipsham (15 minutes from Barnsdale).

Transport is really easy, for airports Birmingham, East Midlands, Stanstead, and Luton are within easy reach, while Stamford railway station connects to Peterborough with its direct trains to London, by road Barnsdale and Rutland Water is less than 15 minutes from the A1.

If you don't have the energy to leave Barnsdale there is plenty to do in the resort. The five-star leisure facilities include on site a snooker room, gym, twenty-two metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spar, squash, and tennis courts and as an owner you can use these facilities all year round. Likewise, if you don't fancy cooking in your lodge (nearest supermarkets are in Oakham ten minutes away) the hotel on site has a gourmet restaurant and a bar, where snacks are available.

The lodge we are selling is called a Burley Lodge. Constructed to the highest standards in wood the lodge is built in the shape of an A frame. Sleeping 6 it has one double and one twin room downstairs and single bedrooms upstairs. Additionally, there is a family bathroom, a separate toilet, a large open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen.
