Everything at The Residence is of a very high standard. The service and facilities are excellent. This apartment has sea views, a large balcony, views over the Lido area and has the advantage of extended sunshine into the late evening.

As the apartment is available for a fixed week in June you will be able to see the amazing firework displays which are held each Saturday night in the month.

The timeshare is extremely spacious, air conditioned and consists of a large bedroom area with television and dressing area, together with an extensive lounge with tv, DVD player, music player, comfortable furniture which converts to a double bed if required. There is a dining room suite and a kitchen with built in oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge. Wi-Fi is available in every apartment. There are two large bathrooms. Both the lounge and bedroom have access to a large spacious balcony with table and chairs.

A feature of the resort are the sub-tropical and tropical gardens which are constantly tended and rival any of the gardens in the island. The pool area is spectacular with more than enough comfortable sun beds and parasols and consists of three outdoor pools and two indoor pools. There is a jacuzzi and the spa facilities of steam rooms and saunas are free for apartment owners in The Residence. There is an extensive garage which is also free to use. Apartment owners also qualify for discounts in all Porto Mare group hotels.

The Residence is situated approximately a mile outside Funchal the island's capital and is a comfortable level and downhill walk to Funchal. There is however a luxury courtesy bus which will take owners to and from Funchal if preferred. There are 'owner services' staff who are dedicated to ensuring your time on the island is as enjoyable as possible, and they are extremely professional, and we have always found them most helpful and approachable.

Finally, the airport lies approximately 25 minutes from the Residence and 'owner services' will arrange transport to and from the airport at the beginning and end of your stay.
