The Royal Savoy is a five-star resort in Madeira. It is in a bay front location on the outskirts of Funchal with just a short walk into the city where there are numerous shops, restaurants, and museums. It is also close to the Marina from where many trips can be organised for whale and dolphin watching or to the off island of Porto Santo.

The timeshare is a fixed week (in November) and has eight years left on the lease (including this year).

The resort has its own sea access as well as two outdoor pools (one heated) and one indoor pool. There is also a children's pool and an outdoor jacuzzi. Indoors there is a gymnasium, sauna and steam bath, and the resort offers a full range of spa treatments. They also offer various games and there is a hairdresser on site.

The apartment is one bedroom which will seep four with ease. There are two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen equipped with hob microwave/oven and a dishwasher. The balcony overlooks the pool area and gardens and there are also great views towards the port where cruise liners visit. There are also great views of the city of Funchal. The apartment is beautifully equipped as you would expect from a five-star resort and is fully air conditioned.

There are two bars on the resort and a very good restaurant. We particularly like the candle lit dinner. All the staff are friendly and very helpful and efficient.
